Consolidated 1099 form from broker

You will need to enter each section separately into TurboTax according to the form.  On the consolidated form you should see a section for each form, the most common are the 1099-INT, 1099-DIV and 1099-B.  The 1099-INT and 1099-DIV are entered in the Interest and Dividends section in TurboTax.  The 1099-B should be entered in the Investment Income section.

All applicable sections of my Morgan Stanley consolidated Tax statement logged in, however no state ID number is located in the 1099-INT section.  I live in UTAH, but the interest was generated in TX, WA, and UT bonds.  The MS 1099-INT lists the bond CUSIP No. as Various.  There is no box 8.  No state ID is provided on the MS form.  Can't file without it.  Help

By "logged in" are you saying you imported it from Morgan Stanley into Turbotax but there are fields that are empty? I guess what you should do is logon to their site and get the PDF version of the 1099 and then manually edit the form in Turbotax.

Have you looked to see if your broker supports importing into Turbotax? Many (most?) seem to. Then it would get downloaded to TT and automatically put in the correct spots on your tax form. It's especially handy if you've sold a bunch of stock, since you won't have to report each individual lot.

Even after import you may need to edit the information if any income was from US Obligations or information was missing, such as the holding period for any sales.
