If you have frontline worker pay on your return go back to where you entered it on the miscellaneous income section of the federal return and put "MN Frontline Worker Pay" in the description. That may fix your rejection issue.
Thank you for replying, but that wasn't it. I will call Minnesota. The error code is not one of their and there website says it may be a software provider error. I will post back here if I learn anything
This is about a 457 non qualified voluntary tax deferred pension. It was entered
on the US tax return, but rejected by MN. I think it is definitely a Turbo Tax problem. Why do I pay $40 to have them say print out and mail in a return. Ridiculous and terrible. If their software can't handle such a simple thing, they should not have a MN return possible. Their must be thousands of filers from MN (as well as tons more from other states) Their has to be a simple solution on their end for this. Please help.
I asked Minnesota tax authorities about this and this is their reply:
Upon speaking with Turbo Tax it appears they found an error in returns that have Section 457 Nonqualified Distribution. They will have a fix in on 3/2. Please retransmit then.
...So give it a couple more days.
Thanks Kevin. Great sleuthing. I'll hope it works then.
Thanks! I had the same error tonight and turbo tax has no idea how to fix it. Just gave me the link to the mn site and told me to contact them.
