What does it mean when it says DO NOT FILE or FORM NOT FILED across your W2?? It already says that my return has been accepted. Is it maybe because they haven't gotten to them yet??

The W-2 worksheet in your tax file is not an official form...it is just a datasheet with info you either entered manually, or imported.

The "data" on the worksheet gets sent to the IRS...but if you choose to mail in your tax forms instead of e-filing, that worksheet isn't to be sent in, your own official W-2 forms have to be sent.

You must keep your official paper W-2 forms, from your employer(s) in your tax files for 7 years (or forever) just in case the IRS or state, want proof of the data that went in with  your e-file
