Did you make estimated payments?

To enter Federal or State Estimated Taxes Paid, including a state estimated payment made in January for the prior year, go to

Federal on left or at top (Personal for Home & Business)

Deductions and Credits at top

Then scroll way down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid

Enter your estimated tax payment paid as follows - Open or continue your return.

1. Go to the Federal section, then Deductions & Credits.
   • You can also search for estimated tax payments and select the Jump to in the search results.
2. Select Estimates and Other Taxes Paid.
3. Select Start or Revisit next to Estimated Tax Payments.
4. Choose Start next to the type of estimated tax payment you'd like to enter.
5. Enter the amount of estimated tax you paid at each of the quarterly due dates.
   • If you paid 2022 estimated taxes in 2023, you'll enter just one amount for each state or locality.
