If you are using TurboTax, you do not need that form (it is for an ERO).

If you used TurboTax you cannot use form 8879, which is only for paid tax professionals.  TurboTax provides "do-it-yourself" tax software for a self-prepared return.

Form 8879 is used only to authorize a paid tax preparer to file your tax return for you. If you used a paid preparer, the preparer can get the Submission ID.
