I have a W2 form that’s for $0.35, do I have to file it with my other W2s?

Generally, you should include all W-2 forms when filing your taxes, even if one is for a small amount like $0.35.

The IRS  generally requires you to report all income, no matter how small. Employers also send copies of W-2 forms to the IRS, so it's important to ensure all your W-2s are accounted for to avoid discrepancies.

Okay, thank you!  Wanted to make sure. It’s not letting me file it online and saying I have to mail it? How do I file them if only one can’t be filed online?

While a small amount under $1 is less likely to cause an issue, the IRS automated systems might notice the discrepancy between your reported income and the information they have from your employer. This could lead to a delay in processing your return.

Filing It

If you're having trouble filing one W-2 online, you will need to mail the entire return. Here's what you can do:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax.
  2. Print Your Tax Return: Complete the steps to finish and file.
    • Select Change next to the return you want to file by mail, and select File by mail on the next screen. Be sure to Save.
    • Follow the instructions to print your return(s). If you haven't already paid any outstanding TurboTax fees, you'll be prompted to do so before you can print.
  3. Attach W-2 Forms: Attach all your W-2 forms, including the one for $0.35, to the printed tax return.
  4. Mail Your Return: Send your completed tax return and W-2 forms to the IRS. The mailing address can be found in the instructions for Form 1040 or on the IRS website.
