W2 withholding

I have 1in state W2 and 1out of state W2, my out of state does not show any federal taxes taken out only state takes were taken out. How do I report those earnings on my federal tax return or are they exempt. It is a total of 15200.00.

W2 withholding

No, they are not exempt.  The questions are:

  1. Are the W-2s from the same employer or different employers
  2. If it is the same employer for both W-2s, does one W-2 has all the information for boxes 1-14 and the second W-2 has only the state information.

If number 1 is accurate for more than one employer, you will add each W-2 to your tax return even if there is no federal withholding.

If number 2 is accurate, add one W-2 in your TurboTax return, then add a second line for the second state information.
