Hello, I received a w-2 with Box 1 completed but it was 2014-7 Medicaid waiver payments. I checked the box for these payments to offset the amount reported in Box 1 but when Turbotax is doing a final Federal review it shows an error on the W-2 form and says that difficulty of care payments can not be larger than Box 1 wage amount. It allows you to adjust the form amount but it automatically rounds the amount where as the Box 1 wage is not rounded. I can not get the error to remove due to the rounding up. I know you can round numbers up or down when entering them but when you import documents TurboTax pulls the exact number. Turbotax needs to fix their form so that it does not automatically round the number.

If you are still being prevented from clearing the error, try deleting the W-2 and entering it manually. Adjust the cents as needed to prevent the rounding issue, since it won't materially affect your return. The IRS typically drops cents in their information return matching programs.
See the excerpt below from this IRS webpage:
You can round off cents to whole dollars on your return and schedules. If you do round to whole dollars, you must round all amounts. To round, drop amounts under 50 cents and increase amounts from 50 to 99 cents to the next dollar. For example, $1.39 becomes $1 and $2.50 becomes $3.
If you have to add two or more amounts to figure the amount to enter on a line, include cents when adding the amounts and round off only the total.
If you are entering amounts that include cents, make sure to include the decimal point. There is no cents column on the form.
