I have been using TurboTax since 2009, usually installing with the CD.  I felt I could always go back and review tax matters if I needed to.  When I started an additional new tax year the TurboTax program would automatically transfer my old tax information from the previous years

However, for this year the program did not transfer any information. I discovered that all my previous data files had magically disappeared, including for all the previous years!  There was no information to transfer. And it looks like I have no way to recover the lost data. The only information I have from the past years is the PDF tax information, for all the years.

I think I read something on the forums that it might be possible to transfer tax information from the PDF version of the previous year to the new tax year.

Has anyone any information concerning that?   Thanks, in advance

Please see the below TurboTax Help Article for instructions on transferring your 2020 return from a PDF.

Can I transfer last year's PDF into the 2021 TurboTax for Windows CD/Download software?
