Unfortunately for me, I waited to buy the software until I talked to someone at Turbo Tax. My case number is [phone number removed]. I explained my situation and asked if I could import either the tax file or PDF into Turbo Tax. I thought I was in a good place.
Today, I drove 43 miles each way to my Costco and bought Turbo Tax Home and Business, installed the software, updated the software, and was ready to import my file(s).
The PDF import did not work and after more research I found out that Turbo Tax only imports PDFs they generate. The support person I talked to clearly knew the PDFs were generated from a 3rd Party tax software. In desperation I started manually until I got to "Did you have any income and expenses for business in 2022?" Then I saw the note "if you have a Corp, partnership, or multi-member LLC I need Turbo Tax for Business."
The support person I talked to clearly knew I had personal, and S Corp LLCs.
Here's where I am, my PDFs didn't import, I bought and now can't use Turbo Tax Home and Business, and I have to buy Turbo Tax Business plus (2) State modules.
I had used Turbo Tax since it was a DOS program going into the late 80's, recently had to stop for a couple years because of the complexity of my business, my account passed away in Nov 2022, so I thought I would try and to it again myself.
What a total mess!!!
