Unvested stocks in foreign account

Hi,

 

I have some performance stock that are unvested given by my company. These stocks are in Europe, where my company headquartered.

 

do I need to file FBAR for this account? I will get 11k worth stocks vested in 2020.

 

please  help me in this regards.

By definition, if the stock has not vested, then you do not yet own it. Unless the stock is in an account of yours, and you have control over the account, you would not need to report the un-vested stock.

By definition, if the stock has not vested, then you do not yet own it. Unless the stock is in an account of yours, and you have control over the account, you would not need to report the un-vested stock.

Thank you very much.

 

My company have created an account under my name. Have these stock in that account. 

 

I have no vested stocks at this point of time. But in this year (2020), i will get some stocks vested for amount 11K USD. 

 

When i click on "My assets and shares", this shows "You have no assets available."

So, for this year can i not file the FBAR for this?
