United Nations Lack of Employer Identification Number

I am a retiree from the United Nations. For years, using TurboTax I have have had to file  my income tax manually.  The UN  does not have an EIN  number and the Turbo Tax software will not let one file his/her return electronically without it.  Many are  in that situation. When will TurboTax find a way for us to do so!

You can create a 1099-R and use a fake EIN of 99-9999000. After filing, you can leave a review and make the comment.

The  EIN of 99-9999000 for the UN works perfectly well. Finally after years of mailing my return  I am able to file it electronically.. Thanks a bunch Amy C..
