Unemployment

I collect social security monthly and 30% disability from the VA monthly and I have been collecting unemployment weekly all year. Will the $10,000 unemployment exemption be already figured in my year end totals or do I need to deduct it somehow? Thank you

Have you filed yet? You enter the full gross amount from unemployment. Turbo Tax will automatically subtract the 10,200 exemption.

Your unemployment compensation will be on Schedule 1 line 7. The exclusion will be on Schedule 1 Line 8 as a negative number. The result flows to Form 1040 Line 8.
