Unemployment benefit including federal Pandemic Additional Compensation.

I applied for unemployment benefits in march 2021. I have just gotten information that the first payment of the benefit was sent on 02.01.2022.  I just want to double-check if I need to report it on the 2021 tax return?

If you get income or have deductions in any year you report them on that year's tax return.

That would mean that I do not have to report it in 2021 because the benefit was granted in 2022 Feb.
