Unable to amend state taxes on Turbo Tax without changing my Federal.

Why is it showing I owe more in Federal Taxes when I attempt to amend my state taxes? The IRS already adjusted everything on my Federal, now it's showing I owe more?

You are correct, you do have to move through the federal amendment process in order to get to state amendments on TurboTax Online. Usually, you simply move through that part of the system without changing anything, and indicate that you don't want to file federal at the end of the process. However, an additional tax balance due should not be showing if nothing was changed. If you don't already have TurboTax Live, you may want to upgrade so you can access live help. Click either the Live Help button on the bottom right hand side of the screen, or click the live tax help box at the top right hand side.
