Hi All,
In previous years, when entering the US Government interest included in my dividends, I was able to right-click on the 0.00 amount and get a pop-up where I could enter a line for a portion of the holdings' government interest. If I had five holdings, I would create five lines that would automatically total and be entered on the summary total.
In the 2024 program, I cannot right-click to get the supporting details pop-up. I have to do this manually, on paper, and then enter it. Plus, it was nice to have these details directly in the program.
Any chance of getting the statement details functionality back for the US Government Interest for 2024?
Note: I am using the Home and Business version for 2024 on a PC
Thanks!

Have you tried doing it in "Forms Mode" you may be able to add the supporting details there.
To switch to "Forms Mode" in TurboTax Desktop, click on "Forms" in the upper right corner of your TurboTax screen.
Hello,
Thank you for the suggestion.
However, I also tried it in "Forms Mode," but it would not open the supporting details option there either.
I'm using desktop deluxe, windows 10. this works in my version for line 1a 1099-DIV and line 3 of 1099-INT- (data imported) right-click in the box, then scroll down to add supporting detail. That should open a window to input your details. If not, maybe delete the 0.00 amount. Also, try on other lines. If it works it may be that if you imported, the app is blocking you from changing those numbers. you could remove selected imported data from the file tab. Then retry. Last resort manual entry.
I encountered this bug as well. I was able to do it in either step-by-step mode by selecting it on the menu bar as Edit -> Add Supporting Details, or in forms mode. Once I entered the Supporting Details, TurboTax propagated the total correctly.
