Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

I have a K-1 1041 and Turbotax asks for a beginning date and end date; however, my K-1 reads"beginning: / /2017" and "Ending: / / /". I can't move past the screen.

The K-1 is for the house that was sold belonging to my wife's deceased parents. Thus, the K-1 is is my wife's name. (We are, however, filing jointly). The forms are for 2017 because that's when the house sold. She has three siblings; the tax person for her brother - who is handling the estate - told me that the loss is  spread out over four years, $3,000 per year for 2017, 18, 19 and 20.  The final year deductions is listed as "$12,519".Turbotax wants specific dates and I receive an error.

" Turbotax wants specific dates and I receive an error."

TurboTax will require specific dates if you select a fiscal year for the K-1.

Further, if the ending date is 2017, then you have to report that K-1 on your 2017 income tax return.
