Be sure you did not enter both of the W-2's under the same person's name. You could also make one of them $1 higher, and see if that makes it work.

Did you ever find a resolution to this? We are in the same predicament and got rejected as well.
Have you reviewed SweetieJean's suggestion (the post above yours)? Try it and see if you are able to submit your return from there.
If you are still unable to do this, you may need to mail in the return. For more information, please see the Help Article here.
I did not try SweetieJean's suggestion because wouldn't that be providing false information on my tax return?
No, The IRS guidelines state that your taxes must be essentially correct. If you increased your W-2 by $1 and reduced your wife's by $1 it would yield a return that is 100% correct.
This adjustment would not cause the IRS any concern.
I did try SweetieJean's suggestion and it worked. I had meant to reply sooner, but was too busy. I didn't raise $1 in each direction, (even better idea), so my return is off by a dollar, but it didn't change my tax burden so I think we are good.
I'd really appreciate Turbo Tax fixing this. It doesn't even make sense that this is a problem....
Thanks, SweetieJean.
This worked. I had already checked the social security numbers - kind of surprised that TurboTax doesn't do that. It seems like this has been an issue for others as well.
Thanks again,
beth
Thanks for posting this! My wife and I were having the same problem, and calling and speaking with a TT rep did not help. It was suggested that I delete all of my W2s and re-add them, but that did nothing and we were rejected a 2nd time. Raising my W2 $1 and lowering my wife's $1 did the trick though!
Thanks! We got rejected a 2nd time based on the advice of the TurboTax expert but we’ll do the $1 up and $1 down trick to submit next time. Our expert said she received several calls about this situation but TurboTax didn’t have a workaround. Seems like a fix or this advice should be made more readily available!
I thought maybe we were the only couple in America who got equal pay for equal work - haha! So when the IRS comes calling, we all need to stick together 😉
