Big problem for you guys to investigate. turbotax saving files to wrong location..lost 5 years of turbotax files...OneDrive makes a copy of your files when you first setup OneDrive. Then if you select to maintain a copy on your laptop, OneDrive creates a new set of folders in c:\users\login \name\onedrive. It will keep OneDrive sync with the new set of folders. BUT, most programs like tax software, will save into c:\users\login name\”folder name”. This means anything saved by software may not be saving to the location that is being backed up. The fix is to copy anything you have in c:\users\login name\”folder name” to the correct set of folders in c:\users\login name\onedrive\”folder names”. Anything you leave out side of c:\users\login name\onedrive\”folder names” is not being backed up to OneDrive. Phooey….i lost a ton of files .
