TurboTax keeps asking me to select "Direct deposit into a bank account" I check it off, fill it out, it asks again

I am trying to e-file my taxes. The TurboTax software asks if I want to Direct deposit into a bank account. I check that option, it opens a page asking for my bank account information. I complete it. I hit continue. The next page asks me again Direct Deposit into a bank account. I check that option. . . . You get the idea. How do I get off this merry-go-round?  It is a very simple return. I have updated the TurboTax software. I have closed all background programs. I have restarted my computer and reopened TurboTax. Nothing I do gets me off that **bleep** page.

Are you using the desktop or online version?

In desktop, you can click on forms to switch to see the problem. Go to the bottom of your 1040. If you have a refund, then check yes and enter the information right in the form.  If you owe taxes, click no on the direct deposit box and instead click yes on the on direct debit and enter your information.

You'll need to do the same in the State return.

@doloresha  Thanks. I am using the desktop version.  I tried what you suggested but am still stuck on the "Direct deposit into a bank account" page. It just keeps reloading every time I hit the "continue" button. Do you have any other suggestions?

Are you sure you are entering the correct routing number?  See this image:

Are you getting the small message at the bottom of that screen saying to verify that the routing number is correct?  If so, be sure you have not mistyped the routing number.

Also, be aware that some larger banks in some states use a different routing number for ACH electronic deposits than the routing number used to handle paper checks.   A check may show the separate number for ACH on it (see image above.)  If you have online banking, you can log into your bank account, and it may tell you what routing number to use for ACH electronic deposits, or you can phone your bank's customer support.  It's important to be absolutely sure you are using the correct routing number.

If you don't get additional suggestions in this forum, TurboTax Support will be open again on Monday.

      ****EDITED 10/09/2022 at 2:43 AM Pacific:   Actually, I just remembered that Monday is Columbus Day--a Federal holiday.   So I don't know if TurboTax Support will be open on Monday or not.   It's possible they'll be open since the extended filing deadline is coming up soon.
