The 2020 version of TurboTax Home and Business no longer includes a section to report cryptocurrency. I'm sure this has to be a mistake on the engineering side and it would be great if it could be included in one of the next updates.
I've done this for the past 3 years and there always was a guide.
What I can remember from the past was that I just imported the TXF file from the third party app where I do the calculations into TurboTax. In the File menu you go to File> Import > From TXF files.
Is this a workaround for the moment since TurboTax isn't asking or guiding me specifically?

Please see this workaround posted by KathrynG3 last year. The steps will be similar and will allow you to enter your cryptocurrency in the desktop version of the software.
Entering Cryptocurrency in the desktop program
I've seen this solution and it doesn't work for me.
In the previous versions of TurboTax, it guided me on how to do it correctly. Basically, all of the calculations are done in a third party software and then you export a report. For TurboTax, it is a TXF file that you import.
I really wish the TurboTax would update the software to correct this issue. I'm sure Uncle Sam wouldn't be happy that TurboTax has omitted this step in their software.
agree that this seems to be a huge omission...why would it be there in past years and then just disappear? ridiculous
