TurboTax error - 2021 Form 1040 - Line 4b

2 errors:

1 - Line 4a correctly lists our IRA distributions as $78,404. However, line 4b says the taxable amount is $80,504. This error is apparent on it's face.

2 - The distributions listed on line 4a include $19,900 distributions from our Roth accounts which are non-taxable. However, line 4b taxes all of the distributions, including the Roth distributions. The correct number on line 4b should be $58,504.

I was on the phone for 2.5 hours today with one of your agents. She was unable to override the error on line 4b. She tried to transfer me to a supervisor who identified herself and hung up. Very frustrating!

How can I change 4b from $80,504 (incorrect) to $58, 504 (correct)?

If TurboTax taxes all your Roth, you didn't enter it correctly.

    You don't want to override.

what were you own contributions into the Roth ? That is what is non-taxable.

It sounds like you received more than one 1099-R form. Have you met the  5-year holding period of your Roth IRA account? Did you enter your Roth IRA basis? Not enough information was provided.
