TurboTax Business insists on a K-1

I'm preparing returns for a "complex" trust. I've told TurboTax that there was no distribution and I don't want to create a K-1. However, it appears that this option isn't "sticky." And when I go to print, I get asked about a K-1 and the 1041 says 1 for the number of K-1s attached, but there isn't any K-1! Likewise my state form (California 541) says 1 K-1 is attached. What's causing the K-1 to be required?

This is strange and I have been able to reproduce the same error. It appears as if once a beneficiary is entered the number of K-1s attached increments by 1 on Form 1041 even if no distributions are made.

However, I was able to override the number on my test 1041, enter a zero for the number of K-1s attached, did not receive an error flag, and was able to proceed all the way through to e-file (transmitting the return).

Thanks. After entering 0 for the number of K-1s, I still had to delete the US and state forms and the worksheets from the return. I was still  prompted whether I wanted to save the K-1s as PDFs.

Follow-up. It appears that forcing the number of attached K-1s to zero ELIMINATES the beneficiary from the return. This is clearly (to me) a bug.

@whanig I checked my test return (screenshot below) and still have the beneficiaries listed and K-1s in my return package after changing the number of K-1s attached to zero (note that I agree that this is some sort of bug, regardless).

Interesting. Rather than wastespend any more time, I'll just print and submit the form. Thanks for your help!
