You and I must have been pulling our hair at the same time b/c of this error.
I saved PDFs of the forms required to file and the forms with all of the workbooks. I then copied these two PDFs and the TurboTax file of my return to another folder just to make sure I had a backup and could snail mail my returns if all else failed.
I then removed TT 2022 from my computer and reloaded it again from my disc. If you have a downloaded copy, I'd do that download first to make sure you can get to it. I couldn't get to a download even though I had my license info.
Once I restarted from the fresh install, I got the same message. But, I tried to update a couple more times and then just skipped it with the do not try again button. TT came up but I just shut it down and restarted. It updated normally at the start and I was able to transmit my returns.
