I've installed the latest version of TT Business and have used it the last couple of years. I cannot find anywhere to import last year's return data. No file options and it is not an option when I start a new return to import. On the site it clearly states that it can import last's TurboTax data.

I'd really rather not have to type all the up front stuff again. Thanks for any help.

Ok, I opened the program a few times and now it finally asked to transfer. No ide why it didn't earlier in the day.
Do you have last year's tax file? If Turbo Tax doesn't find it to transfer there should be a browse button.
You need the prior year tax file on your computer. It ends in .tax2020, the same as the personal tax returns. So you need to have the right one.
It should be in Documents in a Turbo Tax subfolder. Or Search your computer for all files ending in .tax or .tax2020. And check the Recycle Bin. The PDF file should be saved there too. If you have Windows 10 check the OneDrive. Or to Drop Box. Check your backups.
Here's an idea. Do you still have 2020 installed? Try opening 2020 program and see if you can get your 2020 return to show up in it. Go to FILE - OPEN. See if it is the right one. Then save it again with a name and place you can find. Go to File - Save As.
Thanks for the reply. Yes, the file is on my computer in the proper folder etc. After starting the program a few times it finally came up with the import previous dialogue and all is well now. I was worried they had removed the feature. Even though this version is more expensive it seems more stripped down than the regular Home and Business version I use for my personal taxes.
