I have one 1099. TT asks for Box 6, state and the entry is **. TT wouldn't accept that. So, I wrote NV. All good. Next, it tells me same 1099 has incorrect TIN. I doubt that's true. These people aren't stupid. I am trying to call to verify TIN. When it comes up the same, what do I do? It's keeping me from e-filing.

Please try to follow the instructions here to delete the 1099, and then add the 1099 again to the return. As this may resolve the issue.

Turbo Tax crashed. When I reopened, 1099 was no longer a problem.
