Turbo Tax says my return is pending, but I got an email saying it is rejected. Which one is correct?

My original return was rejected because I had the incorrect AGI. I am a new customer with Turbo Tax.  I fixed it and refiled. Turbo Tax shows my status as pending, but I got an email saying it is rejected.  How do I know which one is correct?

Check your e-file status again:

Did you e-file?  Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say that your return was submitted.  The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected.  If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here?  

https://www.irs.gov/refunds         

  Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?”

Note:  If it says “Ready to Mail” or “Printed” that means YOU have to mail it yourself.  TurboTax does not mail your tax return for you.

Turbo Tax says my return is pending, but I got an email saying it is rejected. How do I get turbo tax to allow me to correct my AGI from 2021 when it's still showing pending? I got the IRS email on Thursday, and today is Monday and it still shows pending....

 You will not be able to make any changes until the return moves from a pending status. You may get your accurate e-file status by using this tool. Did you double check the legitimacy of the email received? @Dashby27 .
