Turbo Tax is telling me I can't file my returns electronically, I have to mail them. It is not telling me why

Something to the effect "Electronic Filing not available yet"

I purchased the Software.  I have updated teh software.  If forms unavaiable, then why wouldn't INTUIT or TURBO TAX Support knoiw th answer.  Taxes not complicated.

Electronic filing in general is available; it could potentially be related to one of your forms. When you are able, please provide us with either a screenshot of the error message (showing no personal information) or the exact verbiage so that we may appropriately assist @tim-parker1956.

I'm having the same issue. The error says

Your Transmission didn't go through 

We could not e-file your return for the following reason:

Tax Year 2021 Transmissions are not available.

Some forms may not be available which can cause this message.  Please see the Help Article here for State Form Availability and IRS Form Availability.

Question, If I was supposed to print and mail my return but I never did,  Am I able to efile a new return instead of trying to mail that one.  Reason is that I want to make changes but technically it was never mail so they don't have it.  Can I e-file now and disregard that one ?  Please advise.

No ... it is too late to efile a prior year return.   If you need to make changes you have to download the .tax2022 file and install the downloaded programs to make any changes before you print, ink sign and mail in the return.

Its really getting too complicated , do you think is possible that I can do it going to a Income tax place and efile for 2021 since I never mailed my return, IRS doesnt have it so I can just go somewhere and efile ?

Sure ... some professional tax pros can still efile the 2021 returns so contact a local pro and ask.
