I agree. This is still not fixed in TurboTax Home & Business.
This needs to be fixed!!
It appears Etrade said that all of their 1099's are now available to import and download. Please see the following link: Etrade 1099's
This is not fixed. I believe this is a TurboTax issue and not an E*Trade issue. TurboTax needs to verify that all E*Trade import will work on their programs.
Has anyone been able to import today? Chatted with E*Trade and they said we couldn't import till tomorrow - the 16th.
its not working since few years now. So, not sure it will work but i can wait a day to see if they fixed it.
I only had success importing multiple 1099-DIV; there were no imported data for 1099-B (stock transactions) today. I guess I will also wait to see if import has the stock sale information tomorrow. One uses the same E*Trade - Morgan Stanley account access credentials for all accounts. Like others, I pay TT, so that downloads automatically and hopefully accurately reflect all my transactions. I'm not desiring to enter all manually to many others.
I had no issue accessing the stock transactions and 1099-B online the ETrade MS website. I was able to download the 'paper' copy with all the detail. Hopefully just a system delay and all will be working tomorrow.
This seems to be fixed now. I was able to import from Etrade today.
On Feb 16th there was an update from Turbo tax and after that I was able to import from Etrade..
I am able to import E*Trade documents but TurboTax doesn't do it correctly, namely the cost basis is blank but my E*Trade document shows a value.
I'm sure the download issue I have is a TurboTax problem as most of the data is there except for cost basis.
Which version of Turbo Tax are you using? @jenningse
