My wife has the HSA, I do not, yet -
Turbo Tax generated a mostly blank Form 8889-T … I assume “T” is for Tom, my first name
The only data on this 8889-T is my name, SSN, a bunch of zeros, and an X for none in the section for the type of coverage I had in 2019.
Comments appreciated – thanks,
Tom

"I assume “T” is for Tom" - 😉 logical, but it's actually for "taxpayer", just as the other 8889 ends in -S for "spouse".
For married couples, TurboTax automatically creates the 8889-T and the 8889-S, to use as worksheets. This is due in part to the fact that the spouses share the Family HDHP coverage and TurboTax isn't sure if it needs both forms yet.
Don't worry about it. If the 8889-T is still more or less empty by the time that you file, TurboTax won't add the second 8889 to your return.
