Turbo Tax 2025 - Lots of forms not ready for 2026 filing season

I am a long time user of Turbo Tax desktop version. This is the first year where lots of the basic forms are missing or not available yet. !099-R section is not ready yet. You can create the forms in form view. Form 8283 for charitable donations same deal. Section for IRA contributions is missing too....so is the 1099G form. The list goes on and on...so frustrating having to work with a half baked software.

Not much you can do about this situation other than migrate to another developer's tax prep software (which might be in the same condition).

The IRS isn't accepting returns until later this month (at the earliest). Last year it was January 27th, but there were a lot of changes for the 2025 tax year.
