I so agree with you and many others that are very tired of dealing with TurboTax.....especially those of us that have used them for YEARS. I finally upgraded to Windows 11 just so I could see if I could actually download the Desktop Business 2024. DIDN'T Make a difference! I have spent so much time speaking with product support that I feel like I should send those individuals Christmas cards this year. It's unfortunate that the mostly pleasant customer support people work for a corporation that no longer cares about their business customers. I too am switching to H&R block AND I will be moving away from Quickbooks Online Payroll as well. We may all be small fish to INTUIT, but if enough of us place our personal as well as our companies money elsewhere, maybe the C-Suite will take a hit to their "bonuses".....or better yet, their stock options. I loved the earlier reply noting it's a good time to short their stock!!!!

Oh, ugh. Hopefully, you do some research first.
If you do, you will discover that Intuit has ~$19 billion in revenue and, of that, a little over $200 million is derived from TurboTax desktop sales.
@M-MTax yes Turbotax will lose some revenue from desktop users that abandon it rather than upgrade to w11. some will switch to online. however, look at the price of online. you can only do 1 return for the price vs 5 with the desktop version. thus, it will make up some of if not all its revenue loss and then add in what it might save in the costs of not have a desktop w10 version to support. I see it $$$$ ahead. I think this is analogous to why it never had a desktop mac version of Turbotax Business not enough revenue to justify the costs. also why there will probably never be a Linux version.
However, i believe people are putting off the inevitable. How many computers are running W95, Vista, XP or even W7. those would be fine for those users whose apps never need upgrading. However, internet browsers may eventually require a higher version.
my temporary workaround - have 2 computers neither W11 compliant. did install a dual boot on one and a virtual machine on the other. when Turbotax desktop 2025 becomes available, i will check to see it works on either computer and will post back with results.
and yes I agree w11 s__________________________ my first installation I check the wrong box and found documents were now being stored on the web with One Drive. so people be careful and read what it says before checking a box if you upgrade
Just in case you want to go to Windows 11 and you have a relatively new CPU that is unsupported according to Microsoft this may work. I did it to one of my Desktops with an Intel i7-2600 CPU. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LX147Bv4Fw&t=508s
