Tuition Program Contributions - Who is the "Owner"?

TurboTax prompts for the "Owner's name" for my 529 tuition program account. To clarify, is this the owner or the beneficiary? On my 529 statement, it lists me as the owner and my child as the beneficiary. I just want to be sure TurboTax is using the same terminology.

Please clarify your question by giving a little more information.

Where are you seeing this question?  Is it part of your state return where you are reporting a contribution to the 529 plan?  If so, which state?

Or, are you entering information on your Federal return about a distribution from the 529 plan?

Tuition Program Contributions - Who is the "Owner"?

This is on my Colorado state return where it is asking about tuition program contributions. I've created 2 entries (for 2 kids), both with my name as the "Owner's Name" because I'm listed as the "Owner" on the account statements.

Thank you for clarifying.  Your entry for the 529 plan contributions showing yourself as the account owner is correct.
