That's great, now that the instructions have been released, TurboTax can get to work adding it to the program.

Apparently HR Block can “slap it together”.  The code isn’t that complex if you prepare using the drafted version that’s been available for months.  HR Block was ready the next day. And my refund already has a week+ head start as a result.

And my filing cost me less. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me with TT taking Longer  than other. After 11 consecutive years with TT, *I’m gone*. HR Block’s system was flawless and I get way less spam.

Took me :25 minutes to get all my info over to their platform and my refund is already being processed.  I’m done with turbo tax.

As of March 11th, still unable to efile due to form 8995a and/or Schedule B attachment.  It's great that Intuit was able to spend $7 billion to purchase Credit Karma on 2/24 but unable to spend a few thousand to get the form working for efile.  Still not acceptable.  HR Block has it working apparently.

The following is a post from @macuser_22 in another thread.

Even the IRS will not give a definite date for their Free File forms - the 8995 is "To be determined"  which  means the IRS does not even have an estimated date for release.

TurboTax is part of the IRS Free File alliance and the Free File version  is usually updated at the same time as the other online versions.

Yes, the IRS has released the form, but the instructions are not final. Without final instructions, there is no way to get the form approved for e-file.

Thank you, and I understand that.

However, I'm literally holding the 8995A in my hand, and it's now a free/fillable version available here:

https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-8995-a

This is not the previously released draft, it is a usable file-able form that was posted yesterday.

So if I want to use turbo tax, why do I need to wait?

Actually no, your link appears to be out-dated.  The instructions are available here:

The developers need time to incorporate the form into the software. They cannot just slap it in there; programming is involved in order to link the form to the interview and other forms.

Great, hopefully someone at Turbo Tax noticed.  I only need the form for a small portion of my taxes, and would like to get filed soon.

So yes, form 8995A was released as promised on 2/20 but now QBI Deduction Worksheet Schedule B that is linked to that form is not working properly.  Message states that  "TT does not support this form for e-filing."  This is unacceptable.  How ridiculous.  Obviously TT did not fix 8995A.  The info on Schedule B is replicated on at least 2 other forms.

To Perplexed2012 and others:  Yes, I'd like to know how you were able to transfer it over to HR Block.    I am assuming that you downloaded the HR Block premium program and then did an Import of your existing 2019 TTax files by Browsing to the correct folder.  This is my plan -- have not purchased HR Block yet.  Thanks so much.

Even if it takes you 2 hours to re-enter all your stuff to HR Block, do it.  I'm gone.  I started this thread 5 weeks ago, and got my $20k refund 1 week ago today thanks to H&R Block.  Turbo Tax is dead to me.  The responses from them were unhelpful.   Good luck.

A month later, and it sill doesn't work?   Thank goodness for H&R Block.  Literally got my refund a week ago.  Epic Fail, TT.
