I did some input on my returns and then wanted to come back and pick up where I left off, as I have done in TT Home and Biz for years. Today I opened a return, and installed the updates. It did NOT take me to where I left off but it started from the first screen. All of the data I put in is there so it is not an account issue.
Now I have to find where I was (I am running three returns and so this will waste time) and want to know if this is a fixable bug.
(Now today when I closed and opened a return, it did remember where I had been. But I want it to remember where I had left off if I don't open a return for several days or longer.
As TT has always done in all the years I"ve been using it.)
TIA.

Were you able to pick up where you left off, or is it still not allowing you access to the return correctly?
I could access the returns, all the data I had already input was there. But had to guess where I had left off and go from there, unfortunately. Which took extra time and frustration.
From now on I'll place a reminder "start again here" each time I leave TT - since I believe that the updates remove whatever kind of marker is in the software to hold the place where I left off.
It's a workaround but it's disappointing when this always worked in the past.
I will pass this feedback over to our team, so they can look into this to see if something changed this year, or if it needs to be changed back next year. I wanted to be sure of where you were in the process, as it did seem like you were able to get back in and finish things up.
Well, I gave up on TT being able to find where I left off, after updates. I'll just put a marker there (reminder, whatever you call it ) on each return when I exit. Thanks.
And just so you know, the same thing happened today. I last had the software open on March 13. Today I did updates and opened one return and it was right at the very beginning of the process, not where I stopped.
My data WAS there but again, the software did NOT remember where I had left off.
Thank goodness I now put a flag every time I stop at my stopping point, so I know where to pick up. This is so disappointing from previous years. I still hope you fix this.
Another update - the updates which installed on March 27 behaved the same way - the returns retained all of the data I had input but did NOT remember where I had left off.
Today (March 29) there were no updates, and the software DID remember where it had left off.
