TT 2023 - Must reactivate license on same PC after TT update.

I've now used 3 of 5 activations on the SAME PC.  I am concerned when it comes time to filing my taxes, I will have no activations remaining to launch the product.  After each recent TT update, I am prompted to activate my license.   It appears TT is using a faulty method to detect PC identity and not recognizing PCs that already have a license activated.  Reading msg threads, this seems to be a repeat problem for some users each year.  Is there a patch or fix?
