I have spent some time trying to find out what are my assisted tax return options.
I made the mistake of starting an ONLINE return when I normally use Turbo Tax Premier Desktop. Now any time I try to get help Intuit makes me log in multiple times and instead of getting help I go back to my online tax return.
I want to know if I can use assisted help (Intuit helps me complete my tax return) when I am already in the middle of using Turbo Tax Premier Desktop, but I have not completed my tax return or filed yet. I have sold a rental property and need to report income.
Do I continue using the Desktop app if I pay Intuit for help? Do I stop using Turbo Tax Desktop?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You cannot switch back and forth from online TT to desktop TT. You switched to desktop---you cannot switch back to online now. And...sorry...but the desktop software does not include the "Live" tax expert help that is provided with the online "Live" software. You can ask questions here in the user forum or you can contact customer support, but you cannot use desktop software and keep receiving the "Live" help you were getting when you were actually using online "Live."

I'm sorry but you misunderstand me. I never signed up for any help or paid for any help whatsoever. I started an online tax return to see what I could do for free, if anything. I realized my situation wasn't suitable for online and started using the Desktop version.
I'll give Intuit a call.
