I forgot to claim work travel expenses on my Tax return. Can I change/edit my returns? If not, can I make the claim for the following tax year?

Hi, @Sarahvaz ! Yes, you can amend (change) your return. Here are instructions. Generally, you cannot claim expenses in a year other than when they were paid, assuming that you operate your business on the cash basis, as most do. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much! I filed my taxes already through TurboTax. Is there a charge from Turbo to make this amendment?
Generally not, unless you choose to add additional services for some reason.
That's great! Are there any limitations when filing for work travel expenses? I used Uber every day to get to work. Does this qualify?
Commuting expenses are generally not deductible, which it sounds like is what you're talking about. IRS Publication 463 goes into much more detail.
Thank you for clarifying. I also started a new side job. How much (percentage wise) of that income should I be saving for taxes at the end of the year? I am in NYS.
There is not a "simple" answer to that question, so my best advice would be to run your numbers through our free W-4 Calculator. I think you'll find that exercise very helpful.
