I am a graduate school student and had some travel reimbursement in 2019. I wondered whether those reimbursements are taxable and how I shall report them? Thank you.
1. I interviewed for an unpaid public sector position and my school reimbursed me for related travel expenses based on mileage.
2. I interviewed with a private firm which reimbursed me for related travel expense.
3. I interned for an unpaid public position in the summer and received a subsidiary from school for the rental expenses.

Anyone can help? I appreciate it.
Yes. Each of these is taxable income to you. Job-related expenses are no longer deductible, so any payments received are taxable income. The subsidy for rental expenses would also be considered income.
To enter this in TurboTax Online, follow the following steps:
You will find this income reported on line 8 of Schedule 1 and carried over onto the 1040 on line 7a. This gets added to all other income on your return and taxed at the ordinary income rate for your filing status and income level.
