Is the 2022 TurboTax tax data file, which has a file extension of .tax2022, in the TurboTax folder within the Documents directory? That is the default location for all saved tax data files and saved PDF's.
How did you do 2022? Did you use the Desktop program? Or the Online version? You need the file ending in .tax2022. Search your whole computer and any backups you have. It should be in Documents in a Turbo Tax folder.
Here's an idea. Do you still have 2022 installed? Try opening 2022 program and see if you can get your 2022 return to show up in it. Go to FILE - OPEN. Then save it again with a name and place you can find. Go to File - Save As. Then start a new 2023 return and transfer from the 2022 file.
The tag below your question says that you are using TurboTax Home & Business in Windows. Is that correct?
What exactly do you mean by "can't access"? Do you have the .tax2022 file? That's where your 2022 tax return information is. If you have the .tax2022 file on your computer, but it does not appear on the first screen when you start a new tax return, click the Browse button to locate the file. If you used TurboTax Online last year, click the button that says "Import from TurboTax Online."
