My Turbo tax program found my return filed in 2023 , but never opens it nor displays error message.??

Have you already started your 2023 return?  You can't transfer into a current return.  You can only transfer at the very beginning before you start.  So to try again you would have to start a new return (go up to File-New).  But then you would have to enter all your info and income again.

I agree with your reply, I would not let me tranfer data from 2022 to a new 2023 return that I was starting to work on. I determined that the files were corrupted, I did have another file and was able to accomplish the transfer.
