Transfer California data from 2015 to 2016 desktop

There seems to be a problem transferring the 2015 data from my California return to the 2016.  Both years are desktop versions, not online.  The symptom is that the California two-year comparison sheet has nothing from 2015!  Is this a known problem?

Transfer California data from 2015 to 2016 desktop

That was fixed in a TT/Calif update several weeks ago. Be sure you have the latest version, delete the Calif return, and re-transfer from 2015.

Thanks for your answer Terry.  How does one go about deleting a CA return and then retransferring?  That is not obviously part of the process.  I appreciate your help on this.

Transfer California data from 2015 to 2016 desktop

Here is how to delete a state in TT Online:

When you go from Federal to Calif (new) the year-to-year transfer will run again.

Transfer California data from 2015 to 2016 desktop

Sorry, this still did not work.  I followed the directions for deleting my state tax forms (BTW, I am using MacOS Desktop Home & Business, not the online version so your link did not make sense.  I searched and found a similar link for Windows desktop and followed those directions.)  I deleted the state forms and then went through the process of doing the CA state taxes again.  The information from my 2015 returns was not transferred to the CA state taxes, but the information from my 2016 federal return was transferred.  There was some information that I had to provide that should have been carried over from 2015, and when I went to the CA return's Two-Year Comparison form, no information was included from 2015.
I still assert that this is a problem, regardless of the fix from several weeks ago, and I am still looking for an answer.
Thanks in advance for any assistance that anyone can provide.

Transfer California data from 2015 to 2016 desktop

It seems like there is a problem with transferring information from my 2015 returns to my 2016 returns, specifically with the California return, and the TT Support team either doesn't know about it or isn't being forthcoming about the problem.
Symptoms:
  1.  The Capital Loss Carryover information had to be entered manually with a prompt.  That information should come over directly and automatically.
  2.  The California Two-Year Comparison form has all of the information filled in for 2016, but I had to enter the information manually for 2015.  It makes me wonder what else isn't happening that should be happening.

I am running the 2016 TT Home and Business desktop on MacOS X (10.11.6 El Capitan), so please don't give me any information that applies only to the Online version of the Windows version.
