Hi - I am subject to the RMD requirements for my inherited IRA accounts. Do I need to take the RMD by a specific date each year (i thought i read somewhere that it needs to be withdrawn from the IRA by april) or can I make the withdrawal from my inherited IRA anytime in the calendar year? I'd prefer to make the withdrawal at the end of the year. Thank you.

The RMD is an annual requirement so as long as you take it anytime during the year and definitely by Dec 31, you are good. However, I do not recommend waiting until the last week because I have seen processing issues that end up making the RMD late and then you have a whole other issue. I recommend taking it by Christmas.
The April date refers to your regular RMD from your accounts not inherited IRA. The first year you are required to take a RMD distribution you can delay it until April 1 of the next year. But then you would need to take both the first year RMD and the second year RMD in the same year. After the first year you need to take the RMD each year by Dec 31.
