Third stimulus payment and dependent status change

I did check my bank statements and hers and both our accounts on irs account. I see my letter that shows $4,200 for me my wife and my other daughter $1,400x3 but missing my other daughter should be 1,400x4 =$5,600. Because there is a total of 4 of us.  My daughter has no letter no payment on IRS account and no payment on bank statements. And no paper check sent to her.

Third stimulus payment and dependent status change

@nbk6w19 The IRS does not send stimulus payments to dependents, nor do the send letters about it to a dependent.   If you have a second daughter who is being claimed as a dependent on your 2021 tax return then you should get the stimulus on your own return for her when you fill out the information for the recovery rebate credit in Federal Review.   You will enter that you already received $4200.   If you now have an extra dependent on your tax return you should see $1400 on line 30 of your Form 1040  IF you have entered your dependent correctly in My Info.

Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number. If your child was born in 2021make sure you said he lived with you the whole year.  There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support.  Say NO to that question.
