The control number is an employer option and many do not use it so leave it blank.
Did you get a W2 or a 1099? Isn't State Street for Retirement or investments?

The control number in box d is not required by the IRS - it is used by your employer. As a result, if it causing you trouble, just delete it. If it is not causing you trouble, then leave it in - it won't matter.
It won't let you, it won't let you past that step. I had a similar problem last year. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. I'm done using turbo tax. It is not the software It once was. No wonder nobody sells it anymore. I'm switching mid taxes to H&R Block. I've had it with this crap
