Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

There is a last step of the Federal return (E-filing) where you require a form from the IRS to send back to them. Where can that form be accessed after I have submitted?

As a Taxpayer, you normally do not have to mail anything in when you E-file.  TurboTax will alert you if you need to mail in anything after e-filing.  If you aren't sure, please review your TurboTax Electronic Filing Instructions Page.

There are only a handful of situations when you may need to mail in documentation attached to Form 8453.  For a complete list of those situations, please click here to reviewWhen do I need to send in Form 8453?

If you did not print the TurboTax Electronic Filing Instructions Page, please follow these steps to print or view it:

  • Sign back into your TurboTax Account
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click "Add a State" (You will not be adding a State, this is just a way to get you back into your tax return)
  • Next select "Tax Tools" (left column) and then "Print Center"
  • Select "Print, save, or preview this year's return"
  • Choose to include the "2018 Federal Returns
  • Then click "View or Print Forms"
  • The "TurboTax Electronic Filing Instructions Page" will be the first page.  If you are required to mail something in, it will be listed on this sheet.
