The screen froze when I hit the e-file button...how can I find out if it went through?

I paid the deluxe pkg...how can I find out if it went through?

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  What does it say?

What did the button look like?   The final screen has a big orange button that says "Transmit Returns Now."

When you log in and go to the Tax Home, what is  currently displayed there for the status of your return?

If you just recently efiled with successful transmission, it should say "pending."  Then up to 24-48 hours later (or often much sooner) would change to either rejected or accepted.   Or does it have some other status showing?
