My 1040ez line 1 is not what I put in from my w2, turbo tax keeps showing the correct amount in the edit w2 but the final return is not the same number

Are there any letters to the left of the amount on line1?

The SCH tells you that $744 of a Scholarship amount you entered was Taxable ,most likely because it was not used for eligible expenses.
