Will I still get my federal refund during a Government shut down!?

The IRS was not going to start processing returns until the 29th and refunds were not expected until 2/7 or later however  this may all be over before it starts to effect anyone ....  but don't be surprised if things are delayed as the employees play catch up after the time off .... see this from CNN...

Of course! Though the bulk of IRS employees have been furloughed (just like they were in 2013), you're still responsible for filing your tax return. And if you're expecting a refund, it might well be delayed.
