When is the deadline for paying any tax due in South Carolina? I filed mine on April 7 but Turbo Tax said I had until May 1 to pay my balance due so I set it for 4/29.

That is correct.  As long as your return was filed electronically and not by mail, then you have until May 1st to pay the balance due.
